The Refiner's Vial

Growing through the fire.

As the seasons remind us, part of us has to die so that we may find new life. This for me is the story of the Passion, the Crucifiction and the Resurrection. To grow, we often have to choose to be humiliated and hurt. Part of us dies in shame, in public and in agony. But then we can, like the Phoenix rise again, renewed and ever more closely aligned to our true self as the refiner's vial burns away the dross.
